Mike Conroy
Engineer

Mike Conroy attended Mitchell Area Technical School in Mitchell, SD earning degrees in electronics and computer technology. His work in the industry began in 1987 with MIDCO installing and servicing music and intercom systems for small businesses. He began designing sound reinforcement systems with Canfield Commercial Sound in 1990. 

Mike’s Mid States career as an engineer began in 1994 using computer aided drafting and acoustical modeling to design sound and video systems for churches, schools, auditoriums, and arenas. He’s had the opportunity to design and install systems of all sizes, from small church sanctuaries to large venues including: the Qwest Center, now known as the CenturyLink Center (Omaha, NE), the Alerus Center (Grand Forks, ND), the Brandon Valley Performing Arts Center (Brandon, SD), and most recently, the Denny Sanford Premier Center (Sioux Falls, SD).

Mike and his wife Holly have two sons, Andrew and Ryan. He looks forward to his family’s annual vacations and cheering on their boys with their sports. Mike says he loves coming to work every day because every project is different and he loves what he does.
